Does anyone have photography tips or ideas of how to take a picture of myself that seems mysterious?

1. Try to turn on just a single light (preferrably a single light bulb in a can, so that the the light is directed only directly downward and not outwards). Get different angles of yourself standing within and partially within the light. Try to put the light in different angles as well (over you, to the side, etc.). Experiment with lower lighting in different ways and see what you can come up with. Oh, and if it wasn't obvious, you shouldn't use any flash with these. Natural lighting only, so you'll probably need a tripod or stable surface as well.
2. take a picture of yourself with a dark backdrop and fire a flash off a silver umbrella with low power and keep the light on your face looking dark
