what is the best type and make of camera i should get to take artistic photography with good details and tech.
i really want to start picking up photography again (i used to) and get some good artistic pics, like a really good camera, that is reliable and price range 200 to 400 dollars

- I use a Nikon D50, These are discontinued now. Pop down to your local Camera shop and hold them, As Various makes feel differnet ;)
- For your budget I would recommend a used 35mm SLR. Look at Canon or Nikon. When you are ready to upgrade to Digital the lens for your 35mm will fit. Check a good local camera shop or Craigslist for a camera they should be in the $200 range with lens. If you can stretch you budget a little you can get a Canon Rebel XT or a Nikon D40 for about $500.
