- It is not the camera, it is the eye behind the camera that makes the difference, well ... almost. Of course read 3 times the booklet that comes with it. You can read a good book: http://books.google.ca/books?id=vYIMZXSiHYAC&pg=PA39&dq=sony+cybershot&sig=l1fNHritpZ7WYe-uWiH7C-OhxW8#PPP1,M1
- you can use the "apperture" or "macro" especially when capturing flowers. don't be afraid to experiment using your camera. it doesn't matter if you just have a simple digital camera, the most important thing is the one who uses the cam.
- Take pictures earlier in a morning or before sundown god luck, Check my pictures at www.photogster.com
- The great thing about any digital is that you can instantly see how your shot came out ,delete it if it was awful, and try to get the shot from another angle, in other light, or any other way you can think of to capture what you see. The gift of digital is the abiltiy to try, try again! If this is the only camera you can use, it just may take time for you to develop more skill to get your shot, but hey, it's fun.....
- The Internet holds a large amount of information. Books and magazines can also help. When you read about the basics to photography, experiment on your own to see if you can come up with fascinating pictures based on your own techniques and style.
- http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials.htm That's a pretty good site for help with digitals.
- Morguefile.com has a photography course for free in its forums. Why not have a look at it.
